Backup and Disaster Recovery

We back up your data in the cloud and locally, test restores regularly, and get your business back on its feet quickly when disaster strikes.

The question is not whether you have a backup, but whether you can restore it

A green tick saying a backup was taken does not mean the data can come back. After ransomware, hardware failure or accidental deletion, only one thing matters: how many hours it takes to get your business running again, and how much data is lost.

With our Acronis partnership and our experience in backup solutions, we back up your servers, computers and Microsoft 365 data, and prove the restore with regular drills.

We design data backup, cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions around your business’s recovery time objective, and write the recovery plan together with you.

Lessons learned on the day of the disaster

Backup is the most neglected subject, and the one whose absence costs the most.

The backup has been failing for months

Notification emails land in a mailbox nobody reads; the day of the disaster is when you find out the backup had stopped.

The backup is in the same room as the server

In a fire, flood or theft, the backup goes along with the original data.

Ransomware encrypts the backups too

A backup disk that is open to the network and accessed with the same admin account is the attacker’s first target.

A restore has never been tried

Nobody knows how many hours it takes to bring the server back from backup; the first attempt happens during the disaster.

Microsoft 365 data is not backed up

Emails and OneDrive files are assumed to be backed up already; once the retention period passes, deleted data does not come back.

Data on laptops is out of scope

Files on the computers of executives and field staff are not part of any backup plan.

Scope

What our backup service covers

Server and computer backup

We back up physical and virtual servers and critical computers at image and file level.

Microsoft 365 backup

We back up mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams data independently of Microsoft.

Cloud and off-site copy

We keep a copy of the backup outside the office, encrypted and immutable.

Restore tests

We test restores from backup regularly, measure the times and report the results.

Disaster recovery plan

We define the recovery time objective (RTO) and the acceptable data loss (RPO), and write the step-by-step recovery plan.

Backup monitoring and reporting

We monitor backup jobs every day and act on failed ones the same day.

How we work

A predictable process in four steps

We follow the same method on every project, so you know from the start what is being done, when and why.

01

Discovery

We review your current setup, needs and risks, on site or remotely.

02

Planning

We present a clear roadmap covering priorities, scope and timeline.

03

Implementation

We complete the transition without disrupting your work, documenting every step.

04

Ongoing management

We keep improving through monitoring, reporting and regular reviews.

Frequently asked questions

Backup and Disaster Recovery: frequently asked questions

Is a cloud backup enough, or do we need a local one too?

We recommend both: the local backup gives you a fast restore, while the cloud backup protects against fire, theft and ransomware.

What happens if ransomware encrypts the backups as well?

We keep the off-site copy immutable and under separate credentials; even if an attacker gets into your network, they cannot reach that copy.

How long does a restore take?

It depends on the volume of data and the target time. When preparing the plan we set a target for each system and verify it with drills.
